How to Steal a Dog
The Children’s Art Centre in Poznań
We bring together people who share one passion: a passion for art made for children and by children. Our activities are aimed at those who are still learning to walk and talk, those who have made it to crèche or nursery, then to elementary, middle, or secondary school, and finally to university, but also at those who have never lost the thirst and courage for discovering the world and themselves within the world. They all come to us and meet across generational boundaries. We organise a number of cyclical events, many of which have a long- standing tradition. We deal with theatre, film, music, and visual arts, sometimes treating them as separate domains, but usually making them complement each other and form a whole, just like we as individuals get together to form a team.
We are a local government cultural institution which not only believes in its mission, but also realises it every day.

Thirteen-year-old Julia moves with her mum and younger siblings to live in a town at the freezing north of Norway. Her father works even further – almost by the North Pole. The kids decide to secretly visit him and sneak into the helicopter, but ultimately end up on a deserted island in the far north. A small supply of food, wildlife and lack of contact with civilization, make Julia and her siblings join forces to survive.
