It is not easy to be born on February 29th. Cathy is well aware of that, especially when for her 10th birthday her father gives her a duck egg. Together with her disabled best friend, Margaux, Cathy hatches the unexpected gift. When the duckling crawls out of the egg, it doesn’t want to part with Cathy, but her parents don’t want an animal in their house and give it away to the duck farm. Cathy and Margaux are not willing to accept that and they set out on a journey to rescue the duckling.
